This is the blog of Sujiivana, put together by me, the owner/founder, Julia Pockett. I live in the gorgeous Cambridgeshire countryside and I’m a keen photographer, interior designer and foodie (known to throw myself out of the odd aeroplane for charity too!). I’m a shameless ‘luxophile’ (my own term for a ‘lover of luxury’) but I also love animals, and in particular my girls Lexie the Labrador and Phoebe the Labradoodle (which I hope means I’m not all bad!). You’ll hear more about them in my posts I’m sure!
In my blog-posts I aim to bring you not only news and promotions relating to our on-line shop, www.sujiivana.co.uk, but also ideas and comment on house and home design, gift ideas and lifestyle topics in general.
I’m by no means an expert but my comments and opinions are my own unless otherwise credited to someone much more knowledgeable than myself. What I am is a woman passionate about shopping and style and, in particular, interior design and accessories. I’ll be bringing you only those things that I adore, including links to other sites, blogs and products that I come across.
Sujiivana is Sanskrit for ‘beautiful life’ and I believe that surrounding ourselves with beautiful things not only brings happiness but balance to our lives. However, as a consumer, I also want to know that my purchases have benefited those who produced them and had as little environmental impact as possible. I want the people that make our products to benefit, and hopefully achieve a beautiful life, but also leave a beautiful world for the generations that follow. That is why our on-line store promotes small producers and artisans from around the world and we check the environmental credentials of all suppliers.
I wouldn’t dream of using someone elses material without either their permission or crediting them as the source so I’d ask you do the same for me. That’s why I signed up to ‘Blog with Integrity’.
Anyway, so that I don’t feel like I’m talking to myself, please do feel free to comment on any of the posts and I will always do my best to come back to you.
Thanks for reading!
